Windows - Brace yourself
Windows 10
From the Desktop, right click the little WiFi or network connection icon and select Open Network and Internet Settings
Select the vva network.
Enter your VVA ID (your Gmail ID without the @villavictoria.org part) and password (same as your VVA Gmail password).
Click Connect
Windows 7,8,9
From the Desktop, right click the little wifi or network connection icon and select Open Network and Sharing Center.
Click on Connect to a Network in order to manually set up a network connection
Enter
Network name: vva
Security type: WPA2-Enterprise
Click Next
Click Change Connection Settings
Click the Security tab
Change Network authentication method to PEAP.
Click Settings
When the Protected EAP window appears
ensure that Validate Server Certificate is unchecked.
Select Authentication Method should be set to Secured Password EAP-MSCHAP
Click Configure
Make sure that Automatically use my Windows logon name and password is not checked.
Click OK.
Click Advanced Settings
In the 802.1x settings tab, ensure Specify Authentication mode is checked.
Select User Authentication from the dropdown list
Click OK
You’ll be prompted for your email ID and password.
ID is your Villa Victoria email ID without the villavictoria.org part.
Password is the Villa Victoria Gmail password we gave you.
Click OK.
MacOS
Click on the WiFi icon at the top right part of the screen.
Select vva
Enter ID and password
ID is your Villa Victoria email ID without the villavictoria.org part.
Password is the Villa Victoria Gmail password we gave you.
Click Join
Click Continue
Chromebooks
Click on the little WiFi icon at the bottom right corner of the screen.
Click on the wifi item in the list that pops up and select vva.
Select PEAP as the EAP method.
ID is your Villa Victoria email ID without the villavictoria.org part.
Password is the Villa Victoria Gmail password we gave you.
iOS (iPads and iPhones or other iThings)
Settings > WiFi > select other
Enter vva
Security is WPA2 Enterprise > go back
Enter your ID and password
ID is your Villa Victoria email ID without the villavictoria.org part.
Password is the Villa Victoria Gmail password we gave you.
Then hit Join.
If you get an error trying to join “vv a “, delete the space at the end of the
Trust the certificate it presents
Sit and wait and it should join the network
Android
Settings > WiFi > select vva
AP method is PEAP
CA Certificate set to Do not validate
